Current Information:Age-36 Born-Oldham Enlisted-London Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium
4th Royal Fusiliers of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division moved back into the front line at Kemmel in Belgium on 18th May, 1916. The Battalion Diary recorded that 21st May, was “a very quiet day” in the trenches. Not quiet enough however for James Cummings who was killed on that day, probably as a result of shell fire. |
